Rainy days come and go – sometimes the kids can entertain themselves for hours but sometimes they run out of ideas to help keep them busy; especially when it’s too gloomy out and they need a break from their electronics!

This is a list of easy ideas that is sure to help them pass the day in a fun and creative way!

Play board games

Get out sheets and blankets and make forts!

Turn up the music and make up dance routines

Look up some fun science experiments; make a new type of slime (all the kids are doing it;)

Make your own play dough and use random kitchen utensils to up the fun-factor

Bake some yummy treats to enjoy – and then deliver some to neighbours once the rain stops

Gather all your stuffed animals and make a vet clinic for them

Draw a picture and have a friend or sibling colour it in!  Homemade colouring books!

Hide and go Seek!

Play marbles

Look up new card games and try something different

Play tag!

Create an art gallery and “invite” your family to come for a tour

Write letters to loved ones who live near or far!  Gather their address’s and send them off!

Play lego! Build a whole lego city!

Create a Random Acts of Kindness list and then – do it!

Lastly – embrace the rain!!  Put on some boots & a coat and go jump in the puddles — enjoy letting loose!
