The Best-Tasting Cookies for a Great-Smelling Home

If you’ve ever talked with one of us about selling your home, you’ve probably heard us tell you to
bake some cookies before showing your house. This is because freshly baked cookies fill your
house with a sweet smell that make people feel at home. Not only is baking cookies a great thing to do when you’re selling your home, but it’s also the
perfect activity to do with your kids on a snowy afternoon!

Here’s a recipe for the best Toll-House Cookies that has been a staple in our house for years:

Ingredients:
1 cup of salted butter, room temperature
3⁄4 cup of brown sugar
3⁄4 cup of granulated sugar
1 tsp of vanilla
2 eggs
2 1⁄4 cup of flour
1 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp of salt
1 1⁄2 chocolate chips

Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Combine butter, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a medium to large-sized bowl.
Beat until mixture has no lumps and is fully blended.
Add in the flour, baking soda, and salt and mix with a spoon. Combine until the flour mixture is
almost completely blended in.
Add in your chocolate chips and other desired add-ins (walnuts, smarties, etc) to the mixture
and combine.
Scoop out small balls of the cookie dough onto a greased pan (or a pan lined with parchment
paper)
Place baking sheets in the oven and bake for 8-12 minutes (or until the cookies are golden
brown).
