Earlier this month, Randy Mulder, President of the Niagara Association of REALTORS discussed the Niagara housing market with CHCH News.

Housing prices in the Hamilton-Burlington area are slipping, in some cases down $50 000 to $60 000, but it is still a sellers market in the Niagara area.

The average price for a detached home in St.Catharines is $375 000. That’s about $100 000 less than the average price of a home in the Hamilton-Burlington area and a bargain when it comes to the GTA.

The summer months are typically a slow time for selling and buying homes and while the market has cooled down across Southern Ontario, prices have remained steady in Niagara.
